Yvonne “Vonnie” M. Hoover Heintz, 83, of Newville passed away Thursday January 9, 2025 in UPMC Harrisburg.
She was born August 14, 1941 in Shippensburg a daughter of the late Mac L. and Anna Gabler Hoover.
Vonnie was a 1960 graduate of Big Spring High School. She was a very artistic person that enjoyed ceramics, and crocheting. She also loved animals of all kind.
Vonnie is survived by one daughter Joy E. Kendall and her husband Dale E. Kendall, one son Karl F. Heintz, one grandson Adam L. Kendall and his wife Katie, two brothers Roger A. Hoover and his wife Janet, Barry N. Hoover Sr. and his wife Ginny, one sister Karen A. Hoover, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Sharon Kay Heintz, and two brothers Charles L. Hoover, and Mac E. Hoover.
A viewing will be held Tuesday January 14, 2025 from 6 to 8 PM in the Egger Funeral Home Inc. 15 W. Big Spring Ave. Newville. A funeral service will be held Wednesday January 15, 2025 at 2 PM in the Big Spring United Lutheran Church 101 Crossroad School Road, Newville with Rev. Jennifer Richards and Rev. Jeff Kettering officiating. A viewing will also be held Wednesday in the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Newville Cemetery.
