Wayne H. Johnson Jr., 71, of Newville passed away Friday February 21, 2025 in UPMC Carlisle Hospital.

    He was born May 13, 1953 in Huntingdon, PA a son of the late Wayne H. and Wanida J. Piper Johnson Sr.

    Wayne graduated from Chambersburg High School in the class of 1971. He was a member of the Newville Assembly of God.

    He had worked as a security officer at PPG, and the Carlisle Hospital.

    Wayne is survived by his wife Nancy K. Christman Johnson, one daughter Andrea K. Allen, one son Shawn E. Johnson, one sister Terry E. Rowles and her husband Bill, and one brother Brian E. Johnson and his wife Angie.

    He was preceded in death by one brother Joel Johnson.

    A visitation will be held Friday February 28, 2025 from 10 to 11 AM in the Egger Funeral Home Inc. 15 W. Big Spring Ave. Newville. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday in the funeral home with Rev. Daniel Cluck officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
