Thomas H. McCullough, 93, of Newville passed away Saturday January 27, 2024 in his home, surrounded by his children and family.

    He was born March 23, 1930 in Newville a son of Robert Boyd and Mary Louise Mains McCullough.

    Tom is preceded in death by his wife Aileen Swartz McCullough.

    Tom was a 1948 graduate of Newville High School, and a life long member of First United Presbyterian Church.

    He had served in the Army National Guard, had worked as a farmer, Cloverdale Bottling, hauled milk for Hershey Creamery, drove for Purolator Courier Corp., and Consolidated Freight, and later worked as an independent courier into his eighties.

   Tom is survived by three children Peggy M. Wendling and her husband Bill, Thomas H. McCullough II, and his wife Debbie, and Suzanna Clark; 10 grandchildren Ericka Kott, Jennifer Rainey, Elizabeth Wecker, Thomas, Jonathan, Remington, Matthew, and Courtney McCullough, and Jerome and James Clark; and 18 great-grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by three sisters Tabitha Gross, Mary Kennedy, and Sara Jane Cohick, and two brothers Samuel and John McCullough.

    A viewing will be held Thursday February 1, 2024 from 6 to 8 PM in the Egger Funeral Home 15 W. Big Spring Ave. Newville, and from 9:30 to 11 AM Friday in the First United Presbyterian Church 111 W. Big Spring Ave. Newville. A funeral service with Rev. Vernon Gauthier officiating will be held in the church at 11 AM Friday. Burial will follow in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
