Stephen E. Salisbury Sr., 75, of Newville passed away Monday June 16, 2025 in his home.

    He was born April 21, 1950 in Newville a son of the late Eugene “Gino” L. Salisbury, and Doris Brown Salisbury who survives.

       Steve had worked for Union Foundations.

    Steve was a life member of Friendship Hose Co. #1 in Newville, and had previously served as president. He also belonged to the Cumberland County Fireman's association,, and was a former president, Union Fire Company, West Pennsboro Fire Company, Upper Frankford Fire Company, and Cumberland Valley Fire Company in Shippensburg He also took the lead in the restoration of Friendship Hose's 1916 American LaFrance Fire Truck.

    Steve is survived by his wife Doris J. Lindsey Salisbury, his mother Doris Brown Salisbury, four sons Brian Salisbury and his wife Connie, Steve Salisbury Jr., and his wife Stacy, Stacy Salisbury and his husband Travis, and Brandon Salisbury and his wife Amber; seven grandchildren Brandi, Calvin, Travis, Emma, Dallas, Leo, and Lauren, six step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren; one brother Jeffrey Salisbury; and one foster brother James Ricker.

    He was preceded in death by his father Gino Salisbury, and one brother Tracy Salisbury.

    A viewing will be held Saturday June 21, 2025 from 10 to 12 PM in the Newville First Church of God 475 Shippensburg Road Newville. A funeral service will follow in the church at 12 PM. Burial will follow in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens Carlisle.
