Shirley E. Smith, 79, of Carlisle passed away Thursday February 28, 2019 in Green Ridge Village, Newville.
She was born March 6, 1939 in Mechanicsburg the daughter of Francis and Verna Voglesonger Bishop.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband Norman A. Smith Jr.
She is survived by three sons Michael Smith and his wife Nansi, Jeffrey Smith and wife Joyce, and Terry Lee Bishop and wife Jackie, three daughter Vickie Starner, Cheryl Killinger, and Michelle Duncan and husband Mike; eight grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren; one sister Nancy Sweeney, and two brothers Francis Bishop Jr. and David Bishop.
She is preceded in death by one son Scott Smith, two brothers Ronald Bishop, and Terry Bishop, and three grandsons.
A viewing will be held Monday March 4, 2019 from 10 to 11 AM in the Egger Funeral Home Inc. 15 W. Big Spring Ave. Newville. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday in the funeral home with Rev. Richard Reese officiating. Burial will follow in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.
