Sarah B. Plante, 26, of Mechanicsburg went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at UPMC Harrisburg, surrounded by her loving family.

    She was born on April 3, 1998, in Camp Hill, the daughter of Stephen G. and Ana M. Daviu Plante. Throughout her life, Sarah showed incredible courage and resilience in the face of adversity; she was a joyful and vibrant young woman who has left a profound legacy.

    Sarah loved listening to music, horseback riding, swimming, and spending time with family and friends. Her big smile and boisterous laugh were contagious and will be remembered fondly by all who were lucky enough to have known her.

    Sarah was a 2019 graduate of Cumberland Valley High School; she participated in Red Strikers Bowling, Capital Area Therapeutic Riding Association, P.E.C.A.N Wheelchair Dancing, Area M Special Olympics, and the Tim Tebow Night to Shine.

    In addition to her devoted parents, Steve and Ana, she is survived by her brother James L. Plante and his wife Aubrey, her nephew William Plante, a maternal grandfather Tomas Daviu, a paternal grandmother Mary Anne Plante, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

    Sarah was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Ana Ledesma, and paternal grandfather Wilfred Plante.

    The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the many caregivers, nurses, therapists, and doctors who cared for Sarah throughout her life. Their commitment was a blessing that will not soon be forgotten by our family.

    A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at LCBC West Shore, 200 Lambs Gap Road Mechanicsburg, PA, with Pastor Matt Parks and Bishop Mark Webb officiating. Doors will open at 10:30am with a service beginning at 11:00am.
