Ronald Paul Mowers, 83, of Newville passed away Sunday November 9, 2025 in the Chambersburg Hospital.

    He was born June 20, 1942 in Newville a son of Paul Earl and Mary Shade Mowers.

   Ron graduated from Big Spring High School in 1961. He had worked as an engineer for Amp Inc. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newville. He was a member of Big Spring Lodge #361 F&AM, and the Scottish Rite.

   He is survived by his wife Patricia Ann Linn Mowers, three children Michael L. Mowers and his wife Donna, Kimberly A. Shoff, and her husband Eugene, and Brian L. Mowers and his companion Shea. Six grandchildren Adler Shoff, Allison Shoff, Adison Shoff, Kathleen Cothran, Wyatt Mowers, and Hannah Mowers.; and one great grandchild Ashton Shoff.

   He was preceded in death by his sister Betty Quigley.

   A visitation will be held Sunday November 16, 2025 from 2 to 3 PM in Zion Lutheran Church 51 W. Main Street, Newville. A funeral service will be held at 3 PM in the church, with Rev. Michael Faust officiating.
