Ronald L. Deihl, 82, of Carlisle passed away Wednesday August 13, 2025 in his home. 

    He was born September 2, 1942 in Lower Frankford Township a son of Lee C. and Helen Mellinger Deihl. 

   Ron was a 1962 graduate of Big Spring High School. He was a hard worker, having worked as an electrician for C.H. Maslands, Lear Corp. for 46 years and as a farmer for most of his life. He and Duane Throne had also started West Hill Electric, doing electrical work many evenings and weekends.

    He touched the lives of many. He was a founding member of Camp Wanna Bear in Clinton County, and of the Big Spring Midget Football Association where he coached many years. 

    He is survived by his wife of 61 years Judy Brandt Deihl and three children Todd Deihl and wife Sheri, Trudy Piper and husband Mike, and Tricia Frick and fiancee Brent Griest; seven grandchildren Becky, Kassidy, Trey, Laurel, Lee, Madison and Brock; one sister Margaret Darhower, and many nieces and nephews. 

    Ron was preceded in death by one brother Vance Deihl, and four sisters Joyce Chestnut, Mary Jane Grimes, Katherine Gitt, and Joan Splain.   

    A graveside service will be held Wednesday August 20, 2025 at 11 AM in Westminster Cemetery with Rev. Dick Warner officiating.    

      A  Celebration of Life Service is being scheduled for a later date.
