Raymond H. Hurley Jr., 92, of Bloserville, passed away Saturday May 9, 2026, at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Carlisle.
He was born October 22, 1933 in Newville, a son of the late Raymond H. Hurley Sr. and Cora Barrick Hurley.
He was a graduate of Newville High School and served in the United States Army from 1953-1955.
Ray worked for a few years at Lillie TV Repair before moving to the former Peter J. Schweitzer Mill in Mount Holly Springs where he spent the remainder of his career, eventually becoming part owner. He continued to work part time at the Mill even after retirement. Ray was also a ham radio enthusiast and an avid reader.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Donna R. (Kauffman) Hurley, and six children, Darlene (Rich) Beaston, Sharon (Joe) Lacy, Cindy Brown, Sandy (Bill) Sheaffer, Alan Hurley and Ryan (Phyllis) Hurley, and many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be private.
