Patrica Ann Rolar, 87, of Newville passed away peacefully October 8, 2024. She was born April 7, 1937 in Newville the daughter of Fred A. and Reba M. Swartz Boyd. She was a 1955 graduate of Big Spring High School. Was a member of the Tree of Life Church in Carlisle.

    She was employed at the Newville Shoe factory, Allen Dairy Farms, and Kay & Ray’s potato chips in Newville. She enjoyed baking pies for her family and friends and loved spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by her loving family.

    Mrs. Rolar is survived by her husband Duane L. Rolar of 67 years of marriage; daughter Brenda L. Nelson, husband Blake, son Joel A. Rolar, wife Joyce, daughter Terry L. Piner, husband Bryan, son Jan R. Rolar, wife Ruth, six grandchildren Bryan Henry, wife Jeanie, Matt Smith, wife Bethany, Amanda Perkins, husband Will, Rachel Shenk, husband Joe, Megan Farley, husband Harrison, Dannah Shughart, husband Mark, 12 great grandchildren; one brother Wally A. Boyd.

    She was preceded in death by two brothers, Don Boyd and Billy Boyd, and two sisters, Janet Baily and Ada Brandt.

    A visitation will be held Saturday October 12, 2024 from 1 to 3 PM in the Tree of Life Church 50 K Street Carlisle. A memorial service will follow in the Church at 3 PM Saturday.
