Norman Wayne Myers, 78, of Newville passed away Monday March 17, 2025 in his home.

    He was born August 16, 1946 in Carlisle a son of the late Emmett Dale and Elizabeth Weary Myers.

   Norman was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Ann Baer Myers.

   He was a 1964 graduate of Boiling Springs High School, and proudly served in the U.S. Army. He had worked at C.H. Masland, Sheaffer Brothers Auto Parts, Amp, Steve Black Plumbing and     Bruce Lebo Plumbing, he worked on the road crew of Upper Mifflin Twp., and for 30 years as a plumber for the Beistle Co. in Shippensburg.

  Norman was a life member of the NRA, Shippensburg Fish and Game, and Newville Historical Society. He also belonged to the Newville Assembly of God, Cumberland County Historical Society, Larch Pine Camp, the Fairlane Club of America, and Williams Grove Historical Steam Engine Group.

He enjoyed fireworks, motorcycle riding, cutting wood, spending time in the mountains, hunting and time spent with his family.

  He is survived by three children Kevin W. Myers and his wife Pamela, Karen S. Bryan and husband Kenneth Jr., and Kelli J. Wiser and husband Curtis; five grandchilldren Taylor Bowman and her husband Austin, Wyatt Galbraith, Benjamin Wiser, Timothy Wiser, and Andrew Wiser; two step-grandchildren Haylay and Hannah Bryan;

  In addition to his wife Ruth Ann Norm is preceded in death by one granddaughter Rachel Galbraith, and one sister Nancy M. Myers Orris.

  A viewing will be held Friday March 21, 2025 from 11 AM to 12 PM in the Newville Assembly of God 403 Oak Flat Road Newville. A funeral service will follow at 12 PM in the church with Pastor Donald Snyder officiating. Burial will follow with Military Honors in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
