Maxine Keebaugh, age 78, passed away peacefully at UPMC. She was born on April 7, 1947, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
Maxine attended the Big Spring School District. She dedicated many years of her life working as a medical technician at Presbyterian Senior Living, where she cared deeply for others. She later transitioned into in-home care, continuing her lifelong commitment to helping those in need until the end of her life.
She enjoyed going to the beach and loved gambling, whether it was lottery tickets or trips to the casino. Maxine was also well known for her love of collecting items, especially ginger jars, and for attending flea markets, where she enjoyed finding unique treasures. She also enjoyed being around her animals and had a deep love and passion for her cats, as well as caring for her chickens and turkeys.
Maxine was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Bloom; her father, Harry Bloom; and her sister, Darlene Nye.
She is survived by her children, Daren, Richard, Donna, Debbie, and Ricky; her sister, Caroldene; six grandchildren, Chad, Brittney, Josh, Ashley, Courtney, and Madison; and eight great-grandchildren.
In accordance with Maxine’s wishes, there will be no funeral, memorial, or celebration of life.
