Mary Jane E. Finkey Of Newville, PA died December 16, 2025 at Green Ridge Village,
Born in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of the late D. Ralph Etter and Helen (Noaker) Etter Finegan.
Mary Jane retired from the former Farmer's National Bank (now ACNB) Newville, PA. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Newville, where she was a Sunday School teacher, original coordinator of their prayer chain and at onetime a member of the music and worship committee. Mary Jane was a former Brownie Scout leader, volunteer for Meals on Wheels and active in the Newville Community Chest.
She was known for and enjoyed sending cards to family and friends. She was a collector of teacups, bells and cat figurines.
Mary Jane was married to Leroy E. Finkey, who died in 2012 for sixty six years.
She is survived by a son Randy L. Finkey of Newville. A daughter Cheryl (Charles) Markey of Wellsville, PA. Two granddaughters Rebekah M. Finkey (Kevin C. Bachman) Camp Hill, PA , Jennifer (Dave) Hermann, Lakewood, CO, two great-grandsons, Aidan C. Bachman and Stellan C. Bachman, Camp Hill. She is also survived by one niece and three nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Charles N. Etter and William Etter, two sisters Caroline V. Anderson and Margaret Etter.
At her request there will be no service. If you would wish, memorial contributions may be made to her church Zion Lutheran Church 51 W. Main Street Newville, PA 17241. Burial at the families convenience in Prospect Hill, Newville.
Arrangements are being handled by the Egger Funeral Home of Newville.
