Margaret "Peggy" E. Raudabaugh

May 1, 1945 ~ September 17, 2023 (age 78) 78 Years Old

Margaret "Peggy" Raudabaugh Obituary

Peggy E. Raudabaugh, 78, a lifelong resident of Newville passed away Sunday September 17, 2023 in UPMC Carlisle, surrounded by her family.

She was born May 1, 1945 in Carlisle the only child of George W. and Dorothy Fry Day.

Peggy is survived by her husband Lee E. Raudabaugh.

She belonged to Zion Lutheran Church, Newville, and recently attended the Newville Cowboy Church. She had volunteered for Meals on Wheels for over 25 years, and also volunteered at Green Ridge Village as Bingo coordinator. Earlier in her life, she worked at the First National Bank in Newville, at West Pennsboro Township as treasurer, and was a poll worker for the West Pennsboro Township Board of Elections for many years.

Peggy could always be found enjoying her time in her home doing jigsaw puzzles, reading, watching TV, or doing search-a-word puzzles. She loved playing cards and board games with family and friends; or whomever would stop in and want to play. Many hours were spent on the front porch watching traffic and people go by waiting for a neighbor to stop in and chat. While able, she attended as many of her grandchildren’s baseball games, track meets, soccer games, and swim meets as she could possibly make. Her grandkids meant the world to her.

Above all else, she loved the time spent with family and friends just sitting around talking and reminiscing. She never asked for much from others, other than to share their time.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons Michael L. Raudabaugh and his wife Tricia, and Scott W. Raudabaugh and his wife Joanne; and four grandchildren Amanda, Michael, Matthew, and Joseph Raudabaugh.

A funeral service will be held Friday September 22, 2023, at 3 PM in Zion Lutheran Church 51 W. Main St. Newville with Pastor Michael Tichnell and Pastor Neal McCulloch officiating. There will be a time of fellowship in church immediately following the burial in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Newville.
