Linwood Thomas Clippinger, 77, of Carlisle passed away Tuesday May 21, 2024 in UPMC West Shore Hospital.

    He was born November 15, 1946 in Carlisle a son of the late Joseph and Edna Tritt Clippinger.

    Mr. Clippinger served in the U.S. Army National Guard, he had worked as a carpenter, and as a millwright.

     Linwood was a member of the Carlisle First Church of God.

    He is survived by his wife Patricia Thumma Clippinger, two daughters Kimberly A. Litchard and her husband Michael, and Kristen A. Day and husband Stephen, one son Scott T. Clippinger and his wife Amanda; five granddaughters, five grandsons; three great-granddaughters; and one brother Gary Clippinger.

    In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Ronald Clippinger.

    A memorial service will be held Friday June 7, 2024 at 11 AM in the Carlisle First Church of God 705 Glendale St. Carlisle. A visitation will be held in the church from 10 to 11 AM the day of the service.
