Kaydi Claire Coover Obituary
Our dear Kaydi Bug broke from the confines of Canavan disease and flew away home into the arms of her best good friend Jesus on January 8, 2024. Born August 18, 2010, in Chambersburg Kaydi buggy juice was the baby of her family and the special rotten apple of everyone's eye. She loved her ceiling lights and was truly offended when there were no lights up there wherever she went. She loved music, especially Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks, but she was truly a metal head at heart. Before Covid she enjoyed going to church and hearing the beautiful music there. She sure loved a perfect day on the beach, being on the boat in the bay, walks on the rail trail, a nice Sunday drive with Daddy in his truck, or a cruise around the back roads in her very own mustang with Dylan. She loved watching Bluey and the Waltons, and she enjoyed a good Hallmark Christmas Movie snuggled up with Mom. Audiobooks were another special thing with The Little House on the Prairie series being her favorite followed by the Anne of Green Gables series and Where the Red Fern grows. But her most favorite thing in the whole wide world was being surrounded by her family, her doggies, and her little hamster Muffin in her cozy home. Kaydi leaves behind a completely devoted family unit and she was the center of our universe. Mom and Dad, Walter and Peggy Coover of Shippensbur, her brother and bestie Dylan. Maternal grandparents Karl and Judy Lehman of Newville and Bradenton, FL, Maternal aunts, uncles, and cousins—Amy and Douglas Kuhn, Remington and Raelynn, of Shermansdale, Karl and Amber Lehman, Laramie, and Levi of Mt. Holly Springs. Paternal Grandparents Irvin and Marie Coover of Carlisle. Paternal aunts, uncles, and cousins Scott Coover, Maria Coover, Brittanny, Austin, Adriana, Brady, Aubrie, Annabelle, and Vivian, all of Carlisle. Many other dear friends and close family members are also devastated by this unimaginable loss. Kaydi was preceded on her heavenly journey by her big sisters Amber Rose in 2000 and Ariel Maqenzie in 2018 along with 2 great aunts to whom she was very dear, Brenda Mixell and Lena Stitt. The heavenly reunion was surely spectacular.
Many thanks from our family to the community who always accepted our dear girl for just as she was with no expectation, just pure unconditional love. The depths of our gratitude cannont be clearly expressed with words. Our Kaydi girl was blessed by an exemplary team of Doctors, Nurses and therapists who grew to genuinely love her. Special thanks to Carlisle pediatrics, especially Dr. Holly, The Hummingbird Palliative care team at Penn State Childrens Hospital, and Hospice of Central Pennsylvania. Especially Nurse Linda whom we never could have navigated without, and Dr. Paula who is still dedicated to searching for a cure to this awful disease (Canavan) and has become a integral part of our family throughout this journey. We have been truly blessed and our appreciation is heartfelt and deep. We love you all for loving her so well.
