Joe L. Ickes, 82, of Shippensburg passed away Monday March 2, 2026 in UPMC West Shore Hospital.

 

He was born January 27, 1944 in Newville a son of the late Louis M. and Emma C. Gettle Ickes. 

 

He had worked for John F. Walters, in Newville and as a Land Scaper. Joe was a member of the Minnequa Social Club in Shippensburg, and the Eagles in Carlisle. 

 

Joe is survived by his wife Bonnie L. Stum Ickes, two daughters Terri Jo Myers and her husband Ronald, and Robin Nickel and her husband Roger, several grandchildren, and two sisters Lavona Shull, and Mary Irvin. 


He was preceded in death by his son Bobby Ickes. 

 

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
