Janet Fay Nimmon, 75, of Shippensburg passed away Tuesday June 3, 2025 in her home.

    She was born October 5, 1949 in Carlisle a daughter of Glenn R. and Ruth P. Sheriff Jumper.

    Janet was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Newville, and had worked there as a cleaning lady for 28 years.

    She is survived by her husband John Edward Nimmon, four children Michele Gomez, Daniel Nimmon, Robin Lusignan, and Scott Nimmon; five grandchildren, one brother Chester Jumper, and one sister Joanne Finkey.

    A viewing will be held Saturday June 7, 2025 from 10 to 11 AM in the First United Presbyterian Church 111 W. Big Spring Ave. Newville. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday in the church with Rev. Dr. Vernon Gauthier officiating. Burial will follow in the Newville Cemetery.
