Elwood Reynolds “Woody” Gutshall Jr., 77, of Newburg passed away Monday December 20, 2021 in his home.
He was born March 6, 1944 in Carlisle a son of the late Elwood R. and Edna Mary Chestnut Gutshall Sr.
Elwood was a graduate of Big Spring High School, served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was a life long dairy farmer.
He was a lifetime member of the Newville VFW, the Big Spring Fish and Game, and also belonged to the Newville American Legion, Center Lutheran church and coached the midget football Colts for over 15 years.
Elwood is survived by Lavona K. Gutshall, two daughters Natalie Jackson and her husband Barry, Danielle K. Gutshall and her fiancee Jeremy, one son Elwood Reynolds “Renny Gutshall III, and his friend Tara; four grandchildren Lindsay Richmond and her husband Kody Katelyn Jackson and her friend Nick, Kasey Jackson and his friend Matt, and Mason Gutshall; four great-grandchildren Landin, Kaleb, Greyson, and Aspen; four sisters Barbara Cline, Sandra Gutshall, Nena Chapman, and Annette Gutshall, and one brother David Gutshall and his wife Donna.
He was preceded in death by one sister Margie Gilliam.
A visitation will be held Monday December 27, 2021 from 1 to 3 PM in the Egger Funeral Home 15 W. Big Spring Ave. Newville, PA 17241.
