Dixie Lee Zeigler, of Newville passed from this life on December 16, 2025 at Green Ridge Village, Newville.

    Born April 1, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Russell M. Campbell and Mildred E. Campbell Bowers. 

    Dixie is survived by a daughter Wendy (Steve) Atkins, 2 grandchildren Courtney (Nate) LeFebvre and David Atkins and 2 great-grandchildren, Ella and Parker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Zeigler, a son Robert L. Zeigler and a brother Russell S. Campbell. 

    Dixie was a 1955 graduate of Newville High School and was retired from Big Spring School District where she served as a classroom aide for many years. She had also been an advertising clerk fo r the Evening Sentinel 

    She was a member of the Newville Church of the Brethren, a member of the Sunshine Class, a former deaconess, choir member, youth counselor and asst. Sunday School pianist. 

    She had also volunteered at Neighbors-in-Christ and at Green Ridge Village. Dixies hobbies were oil painting, crafts, writing poetry, gardening and playing the piano. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. 

    There will be no viewing. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. 

    A memorial service will be held at her church Newville Church of the Brethren 16 Carlisle Road Newville, Friday December 26, 2025 at 11 AM.
