Diane Kay Myers Souder, 62, passed peacefully at her home in Newville surrounded by her family on September 26, 2023.
Diane was born on November 28, 1960 in the Carlisle Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Merle H. Myers and Marlene L. Chestnut Myers.
She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Merle L. Souder, and her children Sarah (husband Chad) Enck of Carlisle, Kirsten (husband Dominic) Lawson of Harrisburg, Stacy (husband Anthony) Gigante of Downingtown, PA, and Sam (wife Janali) Souder of Edmonton, KY.
Diane is also survived by her siblings, Sharon Myers of Independence, MO, Patti (husband Ron) Tyler of Honeoye Falls, NY, Bonnie Myers of Harrisburg, Robert (fiancé Tanya Monn) Myers of Grove City, PA, and sister-in-law Cindy (husband Glenn) Finkenbinder of Newville, any many nieces and nephews.
Diane’s biggest pleasure in life was being a grandmother. She was blessed with seventeen grandchildren, Kaylee (boyfriend Cormick Myers), Maslynn, and Caylin Enck, Korbin, Kamden, Keaton, Danika, and Delani Lawson, Zedekiah, Abram, Adaliah, Ephraim, Eliab, Zadok, Adonijah, Havilah, and Miniamin Souder.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Ezekiel Paul Souder, her in-laws, Merle F. And Blanche D. Mixell Souder, her sister-in-law, Dorothea Souder Stonebraker, and her nephew, Jeremy A. Brinton, of Nogales, AZ.
She graduated from Big Spring High School in 1978. After high school she managed several retail locations before continuing her education at The Computer Learning Network and Shippensburg University. She was then a pre-school teacher, followed by a credit specialist for Land O’Lakes Purina Mills. She finished out her career as the owner of her own cleaning company.
She was deeply loved and will be missed. A memorial service will be held at the discretion of her family.
A memorial service will be held Sunday October 15, 2023 at 3 PM in the Egger Funeral Home 15 W. Big Spring Ave. Newville.
