Derek is in the arms of the God of his understanding. He's not in pain or alone. He is not cold, hungry or chasing or running from his demons any longer.

Derek is survived by his paternal grandparents, Floyd & Helen Ammerman, maternal grandparents, Robert & Linda Peters of Endicott, NY; parents, Brian & Karen Ammerman, Carlisle, PA, Cyndi Peters-Leahy and husband Kevin of Syracuse, NY. Siblings, Frances Chelsea Rose Ammerman, Boston, MA, Jennifer Lopiano, Amy & Brad Fair, Carlisle, PA, Vinny & Cecilia Lopiano, Philadelphia, PA, infant daughter Gracie Beth of Carlisle, PA, There are many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, cousins that will miss Derek.

There will be a celebration of Derek's Life at the Newville Church of the Brethern, 16 Carlisle Road, Newville, PA 17241 Saturday November 17, at 11:30 AM.
