Delmar A. Zinn

    Delmar A. Zinn, 68, of Newville passed away Sunday August 23, 2020 in his home.

    He was born March 17, 1952 in Carlisle a son of the late Elwood and Jane Kendall Zinn.

   Delmar is survived by his wife Velma L. Hockenberry Zinn.

    He had retired from Carlisle Tire and Wheel. He was a long time horse competitor at the PA Farm Show, and Williams Grove, both barrel racing and horse pulling. He belonged to Williams Grove Historical Steam Engine Association. He enjoyed driving horses for Benchfield Farms, and belonged to the Chambersburg Saddle Club.

    In addition to his wife Velma he is survived by two sons Shane A. Zinn, and Wayne A. Zinn and his wife Jennifer, and one daughter Nicole D. Kunkle and her husband Shawn; four grandchildren, one great grandchild; three brothers John Zinn and his wife Bonnell, Dean Zinn wife Sue, and Marvin Zinn wife Donna, two sisters Barbara Laughlin and her husband Daniel, and Vicki Rauch; and several nieces and nephews.

    A visitation will be held Friday August 28, 2020 from 2 to 3 PM in the Egger Funeral Home 15 W. Big Spring Ave. Newville. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Ken Reid officiating.
