Dale Edward Orner Sr., 57, of Newville passed away Tuesday December 24, 2024 at home. 

     He was born April 26, 1967 a son of the late Ray A. and Norma J. Schreiber Orner. 

    He graduated from Big Spring High School, and had worked as a over the road truck driver, forklift operator, but spent most of his career working as a jockey for Overnight, UPS Freight, and T-Force. 

    Dale was a family man, and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, catching frogs at the lake was a favorite with his family. He is survived by his wife Kimberly A. Ocker Orner, three children Tiffany LeBlanc and her husband Percy, Amanda Novak and her husband Aaron, and Dale Orner Jr., and his girlfriend Raeann; four grandchildren Jaxson, Olive, Parker, and Paxton; two brothers Ray Orner Jr. and his wife Patricia, and James C. Orner and his wife Karen; his mother-in-law Karen Reed, two nephews, and five nieces. 

    In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Sandra Beaumont, and one nephew Mathias Beaumont. 

    A visitation will be held Friday January 3, 2025 from 12 to 1:30 PM in the Egger Funeral Home Inc. 15 W. Big Spring Ave. Newville. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.
