Carolyn J. (Enos) Faries

    Carolyn J. Faries-Enos, 60, of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, passed away into eternity on Saturday, October 30, 2021. She was born in Santa Maria, California, on July 6, 1961, to the late Richard and Peggy Enos.

    Carolyn attended Santa Maria High School and graduated in 1979. Later in life, she attended Allan Hancock College, earning an Associate's Degree in 2002. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from Cal State University Monterey Bay in 2004. She was currently working on a Master's Degree in Library Information Science at San Jose State University.

    While attending college in Monterey, she reconnected with her high school sweetheart, Philip, and they married in 2005. She was a longtime resident of California before moving to Virginia in 2007. In Virginia, she was employed as a Geospatial Analyst for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Census Bureau. Her most recent employment was with DHS as a Data Scientist. Some of her many achievements were Washington DC's mapping in preparation for the 2009 and 2013 presidential inaugurations and data analysis of the 2020 Census.

    She loved books and spending time at the library or used bookstores. She enjoyed birds, trees, bugs (except spiders), and the rocky shore. There was always music playing in her home. She had a passion for cooking and amassed a collection of over one hundred cookbooks. She had a big heart for her family. She liked to bake cookies for special occasions and fudge for Christmas to send to family afar.

    Carolyn is survived by: her husband Philip, five children, Jenniffer Engle (Carl), Danielle Molinelli (Jocelyn), Shannon Brown (Luke), Ashley Avalos (Bruno), and Jenna Burley (Bob), sister Tracy Smith. She is also survived by: eight grandchildren; Stephanie, Jacob, Alyssia, Lindsay, Dylan, Benjamin, Charles, and Makayla. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her brother Ronnie.

    A service of Remembrance will be at the Egger Funeral Home, 15 Big Spring Ave, Newville, PA , at 2:00 pm on November 9, 2021.
