Carol L. Clevenger, 75, of Newville gained her Angel Wings Monday December 15, 2025.

   She was born November 25, 1950 in Carlisle a daughter of Dean W. and Vera Fay Swartz Lehman.

   Carol was the widow of John E. Clevenger who passed away September 22, 2022.

   Carol was a 1969 graduate of Big Spring High School, and was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church. She and her husband were dairy farmers, and also had a cabinet business.

   She is survived by one son Aric “Tom” Clevenger and his wife Angela, one daughter Heidi Clevenger, three grandchildren Ryan Clevenger, Devin Clevenger, and Caitlynn Clevenger. Four sisters Elizabeth Schlusser, Mary Jo Skelly, Judy Baker, and Christine Hyman and her husband Charles, and one brother Barry Lehman and his wife Zane.

   Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her husband one sister Nancy Moose, and one brother Larry Lehman.

    A viewing will be held Friday December 19, 2025 from 10 to 11 AM in Mt. Hope United Methodist Church Whiskey Run Road, Newville. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM in the church, burial will follow in the church cemetery.
