Anna V. (Sipe) Negley

    Anna V. Negley, 91, of Newville, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Green Ridge Village, Chapelwood Unit, in Newville, PA.

    She was born July 12, 1929 in Carlisle, PA. She was the daughter of William H. and Emma Schroll Sipe.

    Mrs. Negley was preceded in death by her husband Raymond L. Negley, who passed away January 24, 2012.

    Anna owned and operated her beauty salon in Newville for many years.

    She belonged to the Newville Assembly of God church.

    She is survived by one son, Dennis Negley and his wife Joyce of Gettysburg; four daughters, Vickie Negley and her husband Charlie Lobaugh of Newville, Emma Hair of Newville, Lucreatia Weaver and her husband Ralph of Carlisle, and Duryea Hummer and her husband David of Newville; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Dorothy N. Sheaffer of Newville. She also is survived by two brothers, Lester Sipe and Paul Sipe; and one sister, Evelyn Burgard Adams. She was preceded in death by a grandson, John R. “J.R.” Gatten and Son-in-Law Dale L. Hair and several brothers and sisters.

    Private services will be held at the convenience of her family with the Rev. Phillip Steele officiating. Burial will be held in the Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle, PA.

    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Residential Hospice Care of Carilse, 100 Sterling Parkway, Suite 110, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050 in her memory.
