Amos F. Seiders Obituary

    Amos F. Seiders, 82, of Newville passed away Monday December 8, 2025 in UPMC Carlisle. 


    He was born March 22, 1943 in Huntsdale, PA a son of the late Paul C. and Dorothy Martin Seiders. 


    Amos was a 1961 graduate of Big Spring High School, he served in the U.S. Army, then worked for John F. Walters Excavation, was self employed by Amos Seiders Dynamite Services, and had also worked for Tractor Supply, and most recently for Compass. 


    He was a member of South Fairview Church of God, he served several terms as a Penn Township Supervisor, was a life member of Penn Twp. Fire Company, had been an EMT, and was well know for his famous Amos Sausages at the Penn Twp. Fair. 


    Amos is survived by two children  Darrin Seiders, Teresa Noel and her husband Charles, two sisters Connie Doyle, and Vickie Henry, two brothers Steve Seiders, and Jim Seiders, one daughter-in-law Tracy Seiders, his friends and caregivers Harold and Tina McCommon, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.


    He was preceded in death by one son Amos F. Seiders, and one sister Delores Hoeffer. 


    A viewing will be held Monday December 15, 2025 from 9:30 to 11:30 AM in the South Fairview First Church of God 1212 Centerville RD Newville, PA A funeral service will be held in the Church at 11:30 Monday with Rev. Kevin Dunlap officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the church cemetery.
