William Wagner Obituary

    William J. “Billy Joe” Wagner 79, of Newville passed away Tuesday January 8, 2019 in UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg.

   He was born October 26, 1939 in Newville the son of John W. and Mary Stevens Wagner.

    Mr. Wagner is survived by his wife Kathryn Woodburn Wagner to whom he was married for 59 years.

    He had served in the US. Marine Corp. And had retired from Letter Kenney Army Depot.

     He was a member of Big Spring Presbyterian Church, the AM Vets, and Elks of Carlisle, the VFW of Newville, and the American Legion of Shippensburg, and the Marine Corp. League.

    In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter Susan Shellenberger and her husband Palmer of Carlisle; one grandson Chance M. Wagner, his daughter-in-law Mildred Wagner and one sister Mary Ellen Anthony, and several nieces and nephews., several step-grandchildren, and step-great grandchildren.

     He was preceded in death by one son David Scott Wagner, and one sister Chloe Kramer.

    A memorial service will be held Saturday January 12, 2019 at 2:30 PM in Big Spring Presbyterian Church, Newville, with the Rev. Jeanette Mater officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
