Verneda F. (Cohick) Kramer

     Verneda F. Kramer, 95, of Newville went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday December 20, 2018, with her loving family by her side.

    She was born July 27, 1923 in Newville the daughter of George A. and Flora Foose Cohick.

    Mrs. Kramer is preceded in death by two husbands Lee E. Brandt, and Carrol “Bud” Kramer.

    She and her first husband owned and operated Lee Brandt Orchards.

    She belonged to Mt. Hope United Methodist Church for over 75 years, sang in the choir for 56 years, was a member of the Mifflin Grange, and the Mifflin Athletic Club Woman's group.

    She is survived by five children Judy Deihl and her husband Ron, Carol Ellerman and her husband Bill, Gerald Brandt and wife Winnie, Cynthia Workman, and Gary Brandt and his fiance Teresa Slagle; Two grandsons; three granddaughters; seven great grandchildren; and four step-children, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers, and one step-daughter.

     A viewing will be held Thursday December 27, 2018 from 11 AM to 12:30 PM in Mt. Hope United Methodist Church 599 Whiskey Run Road, Newville. A funeral service will be held in the church at 12:30 PM. Burial will follow in Westminster Cemetery.
