Richard L. “Dick” Lindsay, 74, of Newville died Friday October 6, 2017 in his home surrounded by his family.
He was born July 14, 1943 the son of Charles Raymond and Ruth Iva Mixell Lindsay.
Mr. Lindsay is survived by his wife Darlene Elizabeth Minnich Lindsay.
He had retired from Roadway Express, and he and his wife owned D & D Kennels for 26 years.
He belonged to Christian Life Community Church of Newville.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter Pamela J. Osborne and her husband Timothy of Plainfield, one son Richard L. Lindsay II and wife Christina of Shippensburg; five grandchildren Hollie R. Scoma, Katherine M. McDermott, Kimberly A. McDermott, Jessica N. Lindsay and Chase M. Lindsay; one brother Jack E. Lindsay, and one sister Joan A. Hurley both of Newville.
He is preceded in death by one sister Patsy L. Koser.
A viewing will be held Wednesday October 11, 2017 from 10 to 11 AM in the Egger Funeral Home Inc 15 Big Spring Ave. Newville. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 AM in the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Gibb officiating. Burial will follow in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.
