Ray Orner Obituary

     Ray A. Orner Sr., 80, of Newville died December 11, 2018 in his home.

     He was born October 8, 1938 in Newville the son of Cameron E. and Caroline Bistline Orner.

     He had belonged to St. James Lutheran Church in Bloserville, was a 1956 graduate of Big Spring High School, and had served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a life member of Upper Frankford Twp. Vol. Fire Co., and was a retired Forest Fire Warden.

     Ray had retired from M.M.I., he was also a retired farmer.

     Mr. Orner is preceded in death by his wife Norma J. Schreiber Orner.

     He is survived by three sons Ray A. Orner Jr. and his wife Patricia, James C. Orner and his wife Beverly, both of Shippensburg, and Dale E. Orner Sr. and his wife Kimberly, of Newville, 12 grandchildren Rebecca, and Amy Orner of Shippensbur, Samuel Orner and his wife Kaylyn of Newville, Ruth & Bethany Clark, and Alisandra Orner all of Shippensburg, Tiffany Johnson, Amanda Orner, and Dale Orner Jr. of Newville, Elizabeth Reinwald and her husband Donovan of CT, Timothy Beaumont and his wife Gracielle of Pittston, VA, and Debra John and her husband Canon of Dallas TX; three great grandchildren, and one brother Glenn I. Orner and his wife Donna of Mechanicsburg.

     He is preceded in death by one daughter Sandra Beaumont, one grandson Mathias Beaumont, and one brother Merle L. Orner.

     A viewing will be held Monday December 17, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM in the Egger Funeral Home 15 W. Big Spring Ave. Newville, and Tuesday from 12 to 1 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 1 PM burial will follow in Westminster Cemetery with Military Honors.
