Lillie Ruth (Barrick) Johnson

     Lillie Ruth Johnson, 86, of Newville died Friday October 19, 2018 surrounded by her family.

    She was born May 22, 1932 in Newville the daughter of the late John and Evaline Leedy Barrick.

     Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband Emory G. “Jim” Johnson Sr., who died November 17, 2008.

    She is survived by one son Emory Johnson Jr. and his wife Catherine of Newville, one daughter Rosa Wright and her husband Tim of Shippensburg; three grandchildren Angela Eshenour and her husband Cody, Samantha Wright, and Colton “EJ” Wright; two great grandchildren Andrew Eshenour, and Awstin Wright; and one sister Chloe Coppersmith.

    She was preceded in death by five brothers, and three sisters.

    A viewing will be held Thursday October 25, from 10 AM to 12 noon in the Egger Funeral Home 15 W. Big Spring Ave. Newville. A funeral service will be held at 12 PM Thursday in the funeral home, with Rev. Ralph Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
