Joseph R. Guarini, 98, of Newville died Sunday May 14, 2017 in Green Ridge Village, Newville.

   He was born November 10, 1918 in Philadelphia the son of the Joseph R. and Anna M Schafer Guarini.

    He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp in the Pacific during World War II.

    He had retired as a microbiologist from Smith, Kline, French.

    He is preceded in death by his two wives, Marth L. Harke Guarini, and Doris Seitz Zimmerman Guarini.

     Mr. Guarini is survived by two sons Bruce J. Guarini of Summerfield, NC, and Joseph D. Guarini of Arlington, VA, one granddaughter Meagen Guarini, and one sister Anne Klein of Lansdale, PA.

    All services will be private, and held at the convenience of the family.
