Janet E. Finkey

     Janet E. Finkey of Newville died February 12, at Green Ridge Village.

      Born September 8, 1927 in Newville the daughter of the late Charles S. and Mabel E. Graham Finkey.

    She was a graduate of the former Newville High School.

    Janet retired after 26 years with the former Reeves-Hoffman.

     She was a member of Newville First Church of God, where she had been very active in their Sunday School Program.

    Janet was an avid bowler for many years, earning awards for high scoring. She was also active in the Newville Senior Center.

    She is survived by one sister, Frances Kennedy, and sister-in-law Mary Jane Finkey, both of Newville. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by a sister Helen Myers, brother-in-law Mervin Myers, brother Leroy Finkey, nephew Mervin Myers Jr. and grandnieces Melissa Kennedy and Beth Ann Garman.

    A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Monday February 19, 2018 in Newville First Church of God with Pastor Wayne Good officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
