Dorothy J. (Wilder) Boldosser

    Dorothy J. Boldosser, 96, of Newville. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Grace Wilder of Detroit, Michigan.

     Dorothy is survived by her husband of 72 years, William; her daughter Patricia Boldosser (Lowell) Steinberg; grandchildren Sarah and Daniel Steinberg; and a brother, Hugh. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

    Dorothy was a stenographer in the US Women’s Marine Corp during World War II, where she attained the rank of staff sergeant. She was a homemaker and cashier at the Big Spring High School cafeteria for 30 years.

    Dorothy was a long-time member of the Newville First Church of God, where she was a childrens Sunday School teacher for many years. She had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star since 1949.

    She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be sorely missed.

    A viewing will be held Saturday December 29, 2018 from 2-3 PM in the Newville First Church of God 475 Shippensburg Rd Newville. A funeral service will be held in the church at 3 PM with Rev. Wayne Good officiating. Burial with Military honors provided by the Marine Corp. League will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Newville.
