Charles LeRoy Lehman, 84, of Newville died Friday October 19, 2018 in UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg.
He was born November 16, 1933 in Carlisle, and was the son of Simon A. Lehman Sr., Edith Wenger Lehman, and Mary Finkenbinder Lehman.
He was preceded in death by his wife Arlene Marie Garling Lehman.
Mr. Lehman was a farmer, contractor, and loved hunting. He was a member of Green Spring Brethren in Christ Church, where he held many positions. He belonged to the NRA, the North American Hunting Club. He worked with the Newville Auxiliary Police, was a security guard at the Carlisle Hospital. He went on many mission trips to Haiti, and Africa and worked with Mennonite Disaster Services.
He is survived by one son Rev. J. Richard Lehman and his wife JoAnna of Liberty, KY, one daughter Doris Oneill, of Boca Raton FL; one brother Ronald “Jack” Lehman, 7 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by two daughters Barbara Ann Lehman, and Brenda K. Major; one grandson; and 7 siblings.
A viewing will be held Tuesday October 23, 2018 from 5-8 PM in the Green Spring Brethren in Christ Church, 720 Greenspring Road Newville. A funeral service will be held in the Church at 10 AM Wednesday October 24 with Rev. Ralph Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Air Hill Cemetery, Chambersburg.
