Betty Jane (Gilbert) Warner

      Betty Jane Warner, 92, of Newville went to be with Jesus Sunday January 27, 2019 in her home.

    She was born December 10, 1926 in Chambersburg the daughter of Charles E. and Isabel L. Dixon Gilbert.

    Mrs. Warner was preceded in death by her husband Garlin Brown “Tuck” Warner.

     She was a member of Diller Mennonite Church, she was a hard worker, and had worked at the A & P, and was produce manager at Saylors Market. Earlier in her life she had worked at the Newville Shoe Factory, Letter Kenney, Sun Deli, and Reeves Hoffman.

     She is survived by two daughters Kathy A. Davis of Newville, and Susan J. Stauffer and her husband Bruce of Lancaster; three grandchildren Jason A. Davis, Julie A. Myers, and Sarah J. Finkenbinder, three great grandsons, and three great granddaughters; one sister Dorothy Mellott. And many nieces and nephews.

     Mrs. Warner is preceded in death by her son Andrew Warner, one sister Julia Stevens, and three brothers Richard, Fred, and James Gilbert.

    Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
