Betty L. Swartz, 72, of Newville died Saturday October 7, 2017 in UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle.
She was born October 28, 1944 in Carlisle the daughter of Simon and Mary Lehman Sr.
Mrs. Swartz is survived by her husband Max H. Swartz Jr.
She had worked as a truck stop manager in Middlesex Twp. And was a member of Mowersville Brethren in Christ Church.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons Bryan L. Swartz and his wife Evelyn, and Randall A. Swartz and his wife Pamela both of Newville, one daughter Kimberly M. Gsell and her husband John of Carlisle; five grandchildren Leah Fleming, Kyle Schlusser, Emily McKee, Gage Gsell and Raegan Gsell; five great grandchildren Layne Fleming, Oliver McKee, Rilynn Schlusser, Karter Fleming, and Everette McKee; and two brothers Charles Lehman and Ronald Lehman.
She is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
A viewing will be held Wednesday October 11, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM in the Egger Funeral Home 15 Big Spring Ave. Newville, and Thursday from 10 to 11 AM. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. David Halteman officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
