Robert Earl Browning

     Robert Earl Browning, 79, of Carlisle passed away Thursday April 18, 2024 in his home. 

    He was born August 13, 1944 in Nashville, Georgia,  a son of Isaac Newton and Myrtise Jean Jones Browning.

     Robert was a 1964 graduate of Lakeland GA High School, and graduated in 1967 with two bachelor degrees from Valdosta State College. Robert retired after working several years as an educator and 32 years as an OTR Driver.

    He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He enjoyed watching westerns, trivias and studying history. He has this special gift of remembering names,  dates and places. During his younger years, he was remembered in his hometown as a “whiz kid” and many knew him as “Professor”. Robert was also a member of the Hahira Masons Lodge,  who he was proud of.

      He is survived by his wife Corazon O. Browning, two daughters Roberta Earlene Boon, and her husband Mike, and Delia “Dee” Browning Clinger; one granddaughter Madison Clinger; one step daughter Camille Balilu, and one step-granddaughter Eillie Diaz.

     A service will be scheduled at a later date and will be announced by the funeral home when the arrangements are complete.
