Robert G. Koser, 73, of Shippensburg, passed away on Jan. 25, 2018 in the Swaim Health Center, Newville.
He was born on July 2, 1944 in Shippensburg and was the son of the late Guy W. Koser and Bessie V. (Stine) Koser.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy L. (Lindsay) Koser. Additionally, three brothers Guy W. Jr., Roger L. and Howard L. Koser.
He attended the Big Spring School District.
Robert retired in 2011 from 40 years with the International Union of Operating Engineers where he was a heavy equipment master mechanic and welder. He also owned a service garage for many years in Newville and did portable welding and service calls for the local farming community. In his retirement, he enjoyed helping local Mennonites with their transportation.
He was a member of the Big Spring Masonic Lodge #361.
He is survived by his three children Ronald L. Koser (wife Roxanne), Renea L. Kreamer (husband Addison), Todd A. Koser (partner Dawn). Four grandchildren Jessica Porter (husband Justin), Joshua Kreamer (fiancé Brooke), Makaela Koser and Zoe Koser. Two great-grandchildren Jaxson and Jayci Porter.
Robert is also survived by his brothers Charles V. Koser (wife Jean), Delbert E. Koser (wife Ruth), Frank E. Koser (wife Jo Ellen), David W. Koser and one sister Shirley A. Bishop (husband David).
A visitation will be held Monday January 29, 2018 from 10 to 11 AM in the Newville First Church of God 475 Shippensburg Road Newville. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Monday in the Church with Rev. Wayne Good officiating.
