Norman J. Roberts Jr.

    Norman J. Roberts Jr., 75 , died Tuesday July 12th at his home in Newville.  Born July 30, 1940 in Falls River, Massachusetts.  He is the son of the late Norman J., Sr. and Lillian R. Lavoie Roberts.  He was the husband of Rose Marie Desrosiers Roberts. 

    Mr. Roberts was a retired Processing Engineer at Lear of Carlisle; he served in the U.S. Marines, belonged to Chambersburg 600 Elks, Carlisle Elks, NRA, and was a Boy Scout leader in Quinebaug, CT.  In addition to his wife, he has two sons Peter J. of Waterford, CT and William F Roberts of Altoona, PA, and three grandchildren and one step-grandchild.  A brother Donald F. Roberts of Rochester, NH, sisters Ann Coute of Somerset, MA, Joan Rego of Berkley, MA brother David R., Paul, and sisters Susan Ormerod and Jean Davis of Swansea, MA.

   Services will be held Monday July 18th at 11 AM at the Egger Funeral Home, 15 Big Spring Ave Newville, PA with the Rev. Jeff Kettering.  Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle, PA.   

    A viewing will be held in the funeral home Sunday July 17, 2016 from  7-9 PM.
