Mary McGowan Kammerer, 85, died Thursday August 4 at Chapel Pointe in Carlisle.  She was born in Newville June 2, 1931, daughter of the late Charles and Mary Hosler McGowan.

Mrs. Kammerer was a retired nurse working in the Carlisle Hospital and Home Care.

She was married to the late Fred D. Kammerer and was a member of Big Spring Presbyterian Church and a volunteer a t Green Ridge Village, Newville.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Christine Mutterspaugh of Mechanicsburg, Dianne (Thomas) Seibert of Carlisle, 3 sons David (Elizabeth) Kammerer of Carlisle, Michael (Nancy) Kammerer of Downingtown PA and Eric (Diana) Kammerer of Downingtown; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and a sister Janet Lay of Boiling Springs. 

Memorial service will be held Saturday August 13 at 11:00 am at the Big Spring Presbyterian Church, Newville PA.  Friends will be received from 10:00 am till service time at the church.
