Kathryn (Katie) Seitz Christlieb, 87, of Newville passed away Friday, June 9, 2017 at her home.

     Katie was born October 13, 1929 the youngest child of John T. and Ruth Matin Seitz. She is survived by her husband of 69 years John W. Christlieb; daughters Susan (husband Patrick) Naugle of Gettysburg; daughter Jane (husband Richard)O'Brien of Powder Springs, GA; one son Darby (wife Margaret) Christlieb of Carlisle; two sisters Janet Woltz of Harrisburg, and Betty Swartz of Newville; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.She was predeceased by her parents, a son John Gregory (wife Pam) Christlieb, a brother Robert Seitz and a sister Doris Zimmerman Guarini.

    Katie was retired and had been employed at the Newville Canning Factory, Newville American Legion and worked 17 years at Green Ridge Village. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards with her Newville friends, time at the family cabin and cooking for gatherings of family and friends.

     A viewing will be held Wednesday June 14, 2017 from 1 to 2 PM in the Egger Funeral Home Inc. 15 Big Spring Ave. Newville. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 PM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Newville Cemetery.

    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church 51 W. Main Street Newville, PA 17241.
