Jean B. Lehman, 96, of Newville died Thursday September 1, 2016 in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center. 

    She was born January 5, 1920 in Harrisburg the daughter of Henry H. and Minnie Lutz Bower.  

    Mrs. Lehman is preceded in death by her husband William I. Lehman.  

    She had been a Home Economics teacher in Shaker Heights, OH, and at Big Spring High School.  She was also a dietian at Carlisle Hospital.

     She belonged to Big Spring Presbyterian Church, Newville.  She had a life of service, as an active volunteer at Green Ridge Village, which included many presentations on her cookie cutters. 

   In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by her brother Richarld L. Bower, and her sister Zoe B. Brunt.   

    She was the beloved Aunt of Patricia Jean (Bower) Patridge, Marianne (Brunt) Tallman, Rev. Richard W. Bower, Margaret Jean (Brunt) Griffin, Jane Elizabeth Brunt, and Mary Lazar.  She is also survived by many grand nieces and nephews, as well as several great grand nieces and nephews.  

   A funeral service will be held Saturday September 10, 2016 at 1 PM in the Big Spring Presbyterian Church Corporation St. Newville with the Rev. Ann Myers officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
