Gary Joe Mixell, 60, of Newville died Monday May 29, 2017 in his home.

     He was born April 21, 1957 in Carlisle the son of the late Nancy L. Mixell.

     Gary is survived by his wife Wanda Kriner Mixell.

     Gary was the owner of Gary's Salvage Yard in Newville, which he started when he was sixteen.

     In addition to his wife he is survived by four daughters Tabitha Rice, Brandy Hench, Marianna Horowitz, and Katrina Naugle; twelve grandchildren Malayna, Jay, Destiny, Tyler, Trenton, Jocelyn, Cheyenne, Ethen, Xaiden, Blake, Gordon, and Taegan.

     He is preceded in death by his mother, an uncle Glen T. Mixell, and his Aunt Mary Mixell.

     A viewing will be held Thursday June 1, 2017 from 4:30 to 7 PM in the Egger Funeral Home Inc. 15 W. Big Spring Ave. Newville. A funeral service will be held at 7 PM Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Wayne Good officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
