Elizabeth H. Shively, 100, of Chambersburg and formerly of Newville died Friday August 12, 2016 in her home.  

    She was born January 26, 1916 in Philipsburg, PA the daughter of James and Mae Norris Hawkins.  

    She was preceded in death by her husband Charles H. Shively.  

   She graduated from Philipsburg High School in 1933, was a member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church in Chambersburg, and of D.A.R. 

    She had retired from McCoy Electronics in Mt. Holly Springs PA.

    She is survived by five daughters Elizabeth “Betty” Shively, Mary A. Venner, Sally M. (Henry) Phelps, Kathleen E. Hanlin, and Nancy Shively; five sons James (Anne) Shively, Fred (Ruth) Shively, Robert (Judy) Shively, Thomas (Dorothy) Shively, and David (Susan) Shively; 21 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.  

    She was preceded in death by one step-daughter Betty Jane O’Donnel, one step son John W. Shively, two son-in-laws Frank Venner, and Gary Hanlin, one great grandson Scott Shively, and four sisters Lillian, Mae, Cass, and Della.  

    A graveside service will be held Thursday August 18, 2016 at 11 AM in the Newville Cemetery with Pastor Rachel Keller-Wong officiating.  

    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Spirit Trust Lutheran Hospice 2700 Lutheran DR. Chambersburg, PA 17202, or the charity of their choice.
