Betty Marie Waggoner, 88, of Carlisle died Tuesday June 6, 2017 in the Church of God Home, Carlisle.

She was born January 29, 1929 in Carlisle the daughter of the late Clarence E. and A. Martha Kramer Brown.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Ray A. Waggoner, her son William G. Waggoner, and one brother Clair Brown.

She was a graduate of Carlisle High School, and a member of the Plainfield First Church of God. She volunteered at the Church of God Home, and had been a foster mother. She had worked for Manerva Yarn, and Reeves Hoffman Crystal Plant, and also worked in private home care.

She is survived by two sons Edward A. Waggoner and his wife Linda, and Steven R. Waggoner and his wife Bonnie; one sister Martha Heberlig; and one daughter-in-law Beverly Barger all of Carlisle; eight grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 3 great, great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Saturday June 10, 2017 from 1 to 3 PM in the Plainfield First Church of God 2089 Newville Rd. Plainfield. A funeral service will be held at 3 PM in the church with the Rev. James Klock offiating. Burial will follow in the Upper Frankford Brick Church Cemetery.
