Anna Gettel Obituary

Anna Grace Gettel, 87, of Newville passed away Friday April 6, 2018 in Claremont Nursing and Rehab Center, Carlisle.

She was born November 25, 1930 in Shippensburg the daughter of Charles and Anna Mary Hock Crider.

Mrs. Gettel was the widow of Walter Leroy Gettel

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, in Newville. She had worked many years for Dr. Freeman.

Mrs. Gettel is survived by one daughter Irene O'Donnell of Carlisle, one granddaughter Tonya Crouse, one grandson Corey O'Donnell both of Newville, two great granddaughters Serena and MacKenzie Crouse both of Newville; four sisters Sarah Brewbaker, Cora Alleman, Fern Grove, and Velva Wingert.

She was preceded in death by one son Donald Gettel, three sisters Mary Jane Musser, Esther Strite, and Dorothy Nickel. And four brothers Irvine Crider, Monroe Crider, John Crider, and Abram Crider.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday April 11, 2018 at 11 AM in Zion Lutheran Church 51 W. Main Street Newville with the Rev. Amy Wagner officiating. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Air Hill Cemetery, Chambersburg.
